Machine shop equipment relies on coolant for lubrication and cooling. These cutting, mil-
ling and grinding tools are heavily dependent on clean coolant. Many filter systems are

available to perform this task but until now these systems have fallen short on their ability
to remove large quantities of debris without high maintenance and are not portable enough
to service several machines.
Our Continuous Media Automatic
Filtration Unit ( CMAFU ) is the
answer to Portable Coolant Filtration.
Our Portable Coolant Cleaning System solves these problems
Its compact design ( only 22” wide x
44” long ) allows the CMAFU -2 to fit
into almost any spot within reach of
your coolant tanks. The pickup and
transfer pump ( supplied) sends cool-
ant to the CMAFU over distances up
to 50 feet. Once filtered the coolant
automatically is returned to the cool-
ant reservoir by the CMAFU’s dis-
charge system.
Here's how it works. As dirty coolant
is transferred to the CMAFU -2 the
coolant passes through a bed of filter
paper. As solids collected blind the
filter paper, the coolant level rises on
top of the paper. This engages a mech-
anical float that activates the media
advance motor and allows for a small
amount of clean filter media to ad
vance. The coolant level drops and
media stops advancing. A single 100-
yard roll of filter media allows for a
tremendous amount of solids to be fil-
tered without operator intervention.

Our Machine Shop Coolant Cleaning System is Simple to Set Up
The CMAFU-2 filtration unit is wheel
mounted and portable and was de-
signed to clean coolant in all types
of cutting and grinding machines.
The CMAFU - 2 filters down to 5 mic-
rons nominal. Its 100 yard filter media
roll automatically replenishes itself
with no cartridges to change. Just
look at the contaminants in this
coolant.

Set up is simple with the CMAFU-2,
just roll it to the grinding, milling,
C&C or cutting machine to be clean-
ed, hook up 110 volt power (only 15
amps)
Drop in The Pump Transfer System
Place our pump transfer system in
the coolant reservoir attach the
inlet hose to the CMAFU-2, drop
in the filtrate return hose and your
ready to go.
Notice The Tramp Oil
Our Portable Coolant Cleaning Sys-
tem is ready to work. Coolant laden
sludge is pumped from the reservoir
and spread across the filter media.
Working like a coffee filter the solids
stay on top of the filter media and
the filtered coolant runs through.
The coolant is returned to the reser-
voir by the Automatic Pumping
System located in the CMAFU-2.
All Waste Is Dried For Disposal
As the filter media plugs up with
solids the conveyor it’s supported
by automatically moves forward
exposing fresh filter media to the
coolant stream. Spent filter media
is dumped into the catch container
where it’s almost dry.
Our Portable Coolant Cleaning System Is Done
Our Hydro-Biodigesters bacterial
product has eaten all of the Tramp
oil and the CMAFU - 2 Coolant
Cleaning System has removed the
solids down to < 5 microns. The
coolant is clean and the system
can now be moved to another
machine to work its magic.
