Portable Wash Pad – Closed Loop System

One of many uses:
Recycled wash water from the Portable
Wash Pad with use of submersible sump
pump connected to a wash water treat-
ment system and back to a pressure
washer.

Dirty water enters sump tank to reduce
loading in treatment system.

Mounted on a truck, trailer or dock plate,
the Portable Wash Pad and Reel System is
the environmental solution for airlines, con-
tract cleaners, trucking firms, boats, forklift
and many other industrial applications that
require portability.

The application of this reusable product is

very specific. It is designed to effectively

cover storm sewers. It is built to be simply

placed over a storm sewer with a suggest-

ed 6 inch overlap at each corner for a good

seal. Water is then added directly into the

cover to provide weight to the mat and

create an effective seal. A roofers pump

can then be used to transfer the captured

waste water or other liquid to a holding

tank for proper disposal. Please note that

for 100% protection, the Portable Wash Pad

System should be used in conjunction with

this product. The Sewer Cover is construct-

ed of strong flexible PVC which is designed

to resist most liquids, oil, water and chem-

icals. The cover also has four attached hand-

les for ease of transportation and positioning.

Portable Dike

This simple and highly effective portable

dike system has numerous applications. As

dikes can be used with each other, the area

being controlled can be custom designed.

The dike is built to work on smooth sur-

faces where liquids must be contained with-

in a certain area on a temporary basis. Once

the dike has been placed in position, it is

filled with water to give it weight and seal-

ing ability. A roofers pump can then be used

to transfer waste water or other liquid to a

holding tank for proper disposal. Please

note that for 100% protection, the Portable

Wash Pad System should be used in con-

junction with this product. The Portable

Water Dike System comes with standard 50

feet x 5 inch dimensions. It is also available

in custom lengths.

APPLICATIONS

The applications of the portable pad
are varied and versatile. Here are a
few:

The Portable Pads can be modified with
accessories to fit most existing mobile wash
trucks. Straight trucks and/or trailers can be
modified to contain not only the portable pad
but a complete mobile wash system that col-
lects and cleans used wash water for envir-
onmentally safe disposal or re-use.

The Portable Pad can be installed as a part
of an existing permanent wash area where air-
craft, plant equipment, vehicles or any article
are brought to be cleaned.

The Portable Pad can be used by hazmat
Teams for decontamination or used to contain
oil drips or spills of defined chemicals.

Customized portable pads be installed under
rail cars to catch any wash off fluids and liquids.
Customized portable pad can also be used to
catch any contents being flushed out of the in-
teriors of trailers or containers and/or placed
under heavy machinery to catch wash off resi-
due when cleaning.

NOTE: To contain liquids in any envir-
onment with flat surfaces. The Port-
able Pad is designed for use by rub-
ber tired vehicles. For heavy machin-
ery applications, a further overlay
track should be used.

Portable Wash Pads - The Reel

The Reel system (usually mounted to the
underside or the rear deck of the truck or
trailer, or to a permanently mounted base)
has three bracket that hold the Portable
Pad and underlay pads respectively. The
reel is motorized, the underlay pad reel
system is currently manually operated.

The motor is available in 110 volt or 12 volt
(for the Portable wash pad).

Reels are approximately 101” in width, but
can be built to suit individual needs and
weighs approximately 200 lbs.

NOTE: Our pads do not utilize PVC in Floor Areas. Our product has better than 10 times
greater abrasion resistance than PVC. Special models are available for different chemical
exposure situations.

CONSTRUCTION

The Portable Containment Pad consists
of TWO parts:

The first component, the pad, includes

a fixed inflatable air and/or foam berm.

Standard size is approximately 75 feet

long by 14 feet wide, & weighs approx-

imately 400 lbs. This pad can be made

to suit individual needs. For example a

747 aircraft may be placed on a pad that

measures approximately 14' x 30', 14' x

45' or 20' x 60' to 250'.

The second part are the underlay pads,

which are used to ensure longer life

when the pad is used on a rough sur-

face area, such as gravel or stone.

This award winning, patented containment
pad is ingenious in its simplicity. Simple to
use, simple to maintain. This portable pad
provides a portable containment wash area
which allows its user to contain any liquids*
that the pad catches. The contained polluted
liquid* can then be extracted and treated
or removed for treatment

With no environmental damage. This
“Drive on - Drive off” model allows the
user to enter and exit the pad while the
berm is inflated. A secondary berm pre-
vents fluids from exiting the pad as the
vehicle drives over the berm. As utilized
by U.S. Army, Navy and National Guard.

As environmental concerns are increasing, Federal, State, Provincial and Municipal au-

thorities are placing more scrutiny on contract cleaning operators and industrial wash

operations. Cases of waste-waters or contaminants entering soils or ground water, or

direct discharge of effluents into a storm sewer or a creek bed may be a serious viola-

tion of the Clean Water Act or other environmental laws. The development a complete

line of effective, portable and reusable products to help your business meet today's

environmental challenges. Our Portable containment pad system is designed to protect

the environment and prevents contaminants entering ground water or soils.

The berms have safety release valves to
prevent over inflation/filling or sudden
excessive pressure.

The portable pad is used with under lay
pads for longer life where surface areas
are rough. ie: stone or gravel, additional
underlay may be necessary.

The Portable Pad is a reusable pro-

duct that is specific. It is designed to

effectively capture liquids between rail-

way tracks. This is done by simply at-

taching the magnetized sides to the "in-

side" of the tracks. The enclosed foam

end then create a catch basin over which

rail cars, locomotives, etc. can be wash-

ed. A roofers pump may then be used

to pump waste water, or other liquid to

a holding tank for proper disposal. Two

sides of the product have magnets en-

closed in strong, flexible PVC, while the

other two sides have two -sided PVC

enclosed sponge edges which create

a containment area to capture all waste

liquids. The PVC is designed to resist

most liquids, oil, water and chemicals.

Special lengths, and other chemical

exposure materials are available.

When washing buildings, customized portable pads can be attached to the sides at
ground level to capture the run off.

Some commonly defined applications areas are:
To keep liquids away from land drainage works (ditch, etc.), private branch drains or con-
nections to any storm sewers.
